To help you get your creative juices flowing, we’ve provided a list of 4 amazing DIY Valentine’s Day craft ideas you can try this month!

Personalized Valentine’s Day Cards

Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to express your love for your special someone in a creative way. One of the best ways to do that is by making a custom Valentine’s Day card. Not only does it show you put some extra thought into their gift, but it also allows you to be creative and make something truly special.

To make a custom Valentine’s Day card, you’ll need some construction paper or cardstock, markers, scissors, glue and any other supplies you may want to use for decoration. First, decide what size you want the card to be and then cut out the card base with scissors. Next, pick out your colors and start decorating the front of the card with any designs or words you like. You can even use images from magazines or draw something yourself if you want to add an extra personal touch.

Once you have the front of the card looking the way you want it, fold it neatly in half so that the design is on the outside. Now it’s time to add a personal message inside. Choose a sentimental message, quote or poem and write it neatly in the card with the markers. If you want to go the extra mile, you could even decorate the inside of the card as well. Don’t be afraid to get creative with how you decorate the outside and inside of the card; after all, your DIY projects are meant to be fun! Create paper flowers or collages to surprise your friend or loved one.

Finally, once your card is complete, don’t forget to sign it with a special note from you! Your special someone is sure to appreciate the thought and effort you put into making them such a unique and beautiful card.

Making your own silicone molds is a great way to get started with making other crafts, too, since a lot of the crafts in your list (and a lot of the crafts you’ll find on the internet!) utilize these super handy tools to create different shapes for projects!

Heart-Shaped Cookies

For Valentine's Day, you want to show your loved ones how loved they are - so why not bake them something as sweet as they are? If you plan on baking your loved ones some baked goodies this Valentine’s Day, add a special holiday-themed touch by making them heart-shaped! You can use your heart-shaped silicone molds to create heart-shaped cookies, or you can branch out to other sweets, like cupcakes, brownies, and more. The sky's the limit as to the heart-shaped Valentine’s Day goodies you can create!

To add an extra Valentine’s Day touch to your baked goods, you can add heart-shaped sprinkles and pink strawberry frosting to cupcakes and cakes. If you want, you can even create molds in other Valentine’s Day shapes, too, like love letters or roses.

Conversation Hearts Rose Bath Bombs

If you make your own heart-shaped silicone molds, there are a lot of different things you can do with them. As we mentioned, you can use food-grade molds to make your own themed lollipops, gummies, popsicles, and more - but you can also use silicone molds to create non-food items like bath bombs! These adorable Valentine’s Day-themed Conversation Hearts bath bombs are so adorable and easy to make that they’re sure to steal your heart.

To get started, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 4oz baking soda
  • 2oz corn starch
  • 2oz Epsom salt
  • 2oz citric acid
  • 1 1/2 tsp water
  • 1 1/4 tsp melted coconut oil or other carrier oil
  • 1tsp rose water
  • Dried rose petals (optional)
  • Heart-shaped silicone mold

First, mix the baking soda, cornstarch, dried flowers, and Epsom salt in a bowl. In another bowl, mix the water, melted coconut oil, rose water, and citric acid. Slowly mix the two mixtures together, taking care not to add the substance too quickly. Once you find that the bath bomb mixture is slightly sticky, you can add it to the molds for about 10 minutes. Finally, remove the bath bombs and place them out to dry.

Rose Petal Pink Lip Scrub

Making a rose petal pink lip scrub is so fun and simple, and it’s a great way to get in the Valentine’s Day mood! Not only is this lip scrub super tasty and adorable, it does a great job of exfoliating your lips, too! You can make yourself some of this lip scrub to use at home or package it up to send out as gifts for the holiday.

The ingredients you’ll need are:

  • 2 tablespoons fine sugar
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil, or another preferred oil
  • 5 drops of rose water
  • Dried rose petals (optional, but makes it look amazing!)

First, you'll need to take the sugar and a small amount of dried rose petals to a bowl. Next, mix in the coconut oil. Mix the coconut oil, sugar, and dried rose petals thoroughly to create the texture you want in your lip scrub. Next, add the rose water to create a pleasant scent, and voila - your Valentine’s Day-themed rose petal pink lip scrub is done!
